Light and Pleasant...

Another week has passed, another 2 stalks of flowers to make me smile..

This breed of flowers are called Eustoma..

Light, soft, pastel colours were chosen to pale away not my rosy cheeks, but, to compliment each other.. They make me sweet and make themselves sweeter..

Of Boss and "Girlfriend" Alike....

There is 1 thing about my boss. He's crazy. He's like my girlfriend.

I'm sure all of you would know by now what kind of a boss I have. Though he may not be the worst, but, enough for me to complain about.

Just the other day, last week, he asked me to wait in the office for his return, while he left to the temple to pray for his friend aka golf kaki, who's been hospitalised and pronounced paralysed.

He left at 3+pm & called me at 5:30pm, saying that he's on his way back to the office, and will reach in 15 minutes. I waited till 6:20pm, when I called him on his mobile again. As usual, he didn't answer his phone. He called back 5 minutes later and said that he's downstairs and on his way up.

I hurriedly turned off the EFS terminal and went back to my desk and waited for his return.

When he walked by my desk, he placed a paper bag containing 2 boxes of mooncakes in front of me. Next, he put his hand on my head and patted me, saying, "This is for all the scolding I've given you."

I, of course, being taken aback, didn't respond immediately. He went into his room, sat down and I thanked him after allowing 5 seconds of what just happened sink in.

20 minutes later, I asked him if I could go home. He said, "Yes Yes of course you can. I already told you earlier that you can go."

So, I packed my stuff, headed to the ladies room, came back in, thanked him once again for the mooncakes, where he replied, "Don't mention." And I left for home......

Hmmmmmmmm......... And he's been really sweet and nice thereafter.. No raising of voice whatsoever......
He didn't even loose his cool on the 36 Affidavits of Evidence-In-Chief that both of us had to do on very short notice (he's such a last minute man...)...

Okie, these roses are not from my girlfriend. They are my table display for the week. Well, if you've noticed, I change my flowers every Tuesday. I would try to think and go with how I feel for the day in deciding (of course, with some suggestions from girlfriend too..) what flowers are gonna be placed beautifully on my work table.

Silence of the Meows and Woofs...

This is a cat. A kitten to be exact. It's a SHE, both Glendan and I reckon.

Now, let's call her Blueiee..

That's because she's got a pair of lovely Blue eyes.

Blueiee appeared out of nowhere on the night of Monday. She was meowing away non-stop outside the rented place that I'm currently staying.

This is my dog, Baby. She's called Baby coz she such a darling.

Baby is afraid of the rain. She would find some place to hide whenever she senses that a rain is coming. We would never be able to find her once she goes into hiding. Hahaa...!!

Now, Blueiee kinda irritated the living shit of Baby, coz she was meowing non-stop outside the door. Baby responded by barking incessently at Blueiee. I even managed to joke with my darling that they were both perhaps talking with each other. How?? One barks, the other meows. Haha..

Last night, Blueiee made her presence felt again. Baby, of course, started barking back. Glendan, my mummy and I were at home when this weird combo of communication started. I opened the door and went out to take a look. I was very curious how this little kitten looks.

Blueiee was standing on top of the soil of my neighours flower pot. She didn't stop meowing even when Glendan was there talking to her. Blueiee looked so cute and lovely and of course, innocent, with those blue eyes of hers. She looked scared and defended herself by opening her mouth as wide as possible to meow us. She also looked like she wanted some comfort. To be held in the arms of someone warm.

During this time, Baby was at the gate, barking away. I carried her outside and introduced them both. Baby was as quiet as a little mouse while Blueiee was as shy as a little girl could be - hiding between 2 flower pots.

I then ran into the house and took my camera phone out. I asked my partner to snap some pictures of Blueiee.

There was another sound besides the barking and the meowing.. There were sounds of Ms Hamster. She's white. And she lives in a little cage. She's my neighoubour's daughter's pet. She was noisy too. She was busy biting the metel cage. Hahaa..

Blueiee was still meowing this morning, when I got up for work. Baby, on the other hand was held in "imprisonment" in my room for the whole night.

We released Baby from her "prison" after she started barking for food. She heard my mummy in the kitchen.

When we were ready to leave home for work, we looked for Blueiee. I noticed there were some milk left in a plastic bowl, compliments from my neighbour's kids, as from the night before, for Blueiee. But, Blueiee was no where to be found. I guess, she needed a days break, to clear and relax her vocals....

And now, let's see if Blueiee comes over again tonight.

I, Flowers...

I’ve just bought these 2 stalks of Gerberas from the Arcade florist during my lunch hour. The 3 stalks of white orchids have finally been released from my hands yesterday morning, after a month of being together with me.

Bright and eye-catching, these 2 Gerberas are here to catch your eye and to brighten up my boring desk space, and of course, to help me in brightening up my time spent holed up in this hellish work place.

The colours are so in contrast that if u stare at them both longer than 5 minutes, you might as well go blind. Hmmm……. Maybe that is what I want Ms Prada to be……. BLIND!!!

A short update About Me..

Heya folks..

I’m sure most of you would have been missing me lately and wondering how am I getting along.

Well, I’ve been busy. Yes, I know it’s a very common excuse (to most), yet, I’m truly really busy.

I’m having problems with Ms Prada (the new nickname given to my male boss) – Serious problems… I would like to have a total change in environment (although I know I’ve got no other skills that I’m versed at other than the litigation / criminal areas).

I’ve been working late (on the average) almost everyday since the start of the month. My latest to date is (no, I’m not boasting), 10.30pm. And that was last Friday. My partner came over to Raffles area to wait for me. And when everyone has already left the office, I asked her to come up – to keep me company.

I was dead tired by the time I left at 10.30pm. We headed straight to our regular hang-out by cab, for I was really too tired to walk. We ordered deliveries up to AB. And though I was really really very tired, I played pool. I was there till 4 am!! LOL… My partner was dozing off and lying on the couch and / the high chair.

Come Saturday, my partner took leave and accompanied me to run a early morning errand. My mummy dearest tagged along too. We were supposed to leave home at 9am, yet, it was 9.30 am that we got up. J

Thereafter, we had an early lunch. We headed to Killiney Kopi-Tiam for coffee, half boiled eggs, French toast, and curry chicken with bread. Then we proceeded to Ikea to look at the stuff for my new home. (Yes, renovation works have already started – last Friday). We had tea / coffee time there – coffee and chicken wings. We next went to Great World City, to look for more things. (My partner was busy taking down model numbers, price of items, dimensions of items and colour of items that I would like to purchase from Ikea and V.Hive for me… Well, she’s the brainy and efficient one.. I’m too slow and Blur at all this… :P)

After Great World City, we all went to Paragon. Walked some more and had dinner there. Then we went to Centrepoint, where we finally bought 2 sets of bed-sheets (1 for mummy dearest and 1 for myself, and 1 quit cover sheet for mummy dearest – for our new place).

Hmmmm… After that long long day of walking, we went mummy off for home with the sheets via cab. We both then headed to AB. And yes, I played pool, yet again, till 4+am.. This time, it was much more fun!!! Hahahaa…

I’m improving in my pool (coz I’ve been training with Kim and playing with Elissa and every other girl who’s game for it…) and I stayed on at the table for 5 games. Hahaa.. And yes, I’ve been praised – and of course, I like it.. Hheehee…

My renovation works for my flat has already started, last Friday…. I’m excited..

I’m tired… House and work… I’m really tired.. Exhausted, rather..

I’m currently very stressed out and to make it worse, I’m having a bout of rashes. Aiyo!!! And at what weird places too – my whole bum and at the back of my leg.. I’ve visited the company’s doctor today during my lunch hour. The mediation and cream that I was prescribed in July didn’t work out for me this time. The doctor changed the mediation and cream and hopefully, I’ll be able to recover pretty soon, for I, do not look adorable, scratching and scratching..
