I've got a secret to share...

Let me share a secret with you. I bought myself a 5th generation 30GB ipod last evening. (If you don’t know the specs, please visit, The Apple Store (Singapore) @ www.apple.com.sg

I hesitated for the whole of yesterday, trying to make up my mind between a ipod 30GB or a ipod Nano 4GB. Pros and cons for both products. Should I go for a light, small and compact, slim and sleek design? Or should I go for a heavier, bigger yet not as slim as a Nano ipod, but with a massive memory space of 30GB?

After thinking and browsing and touching and discussing with mummy, her boyfriend and my partner, we all decided that a 30GB ipod would be worth every penny, cent and dollar that I have left in my depreciating bank account.

I asked my partner and my mummy to check with their sources on the prices for products. In the end, I got the cheapest price of the lot from mummy’s source. I also got original earphones coz the one that comes free is too big for my small earlobes.

Ehhh, my darling said, every other week or two, I’d be getting something new.

Hmm.. Come to think of it, it’s definitely true. But, I’ve got very valid reasons for getting them.
  1. My mobile phone was starting to give me problems.
  2. My desktop computer was as slow as a snail.
  3. My ipod Shuffle jumped into the sea.
  4. What’s next????
Stay tuned………………………..

Sheena, Glenda & Me...

Alright. As mentioned in about 3 blog entries earlier, I hired a temporary assistant. She came in the form of a long-haired girlish, sweet and very courteous. She smiles at everyone and greets eveyone, in my department. Well mannered and brought up by her parents.

I got to know more about her through my partner and of course, from Sheena, herself. For example, how she deals with money she earns doing part-time work / temporary positions. She would save the money to go for holidays and also to buy the things that she really wants. She'd prefer that she buys them herself, than always having to stretch out her hands and ask for money from her parents. She cooks dinner for her parents everyday and it is a MUST that her parents go home after work to eat. She gives herself Wednesdays off-dinner duties and hangs out with her parents even during the weekends.
She helped me out for 3 days, till last Thrusday. We've kept in constant contact ever since. She's a good worker and though she's been comstantly pampered by her dad, she's sensible when she's out of her comfort zone.
She listens to my guides and instructions when she was here and I'm proud to say that she's wonderful....
She gave me a treat on Thursday too. She bought me a cuppa Iced Passion Fruit Tea with a scoop of ice-cream from Coffee Club. She had suggested that I try that after I "bugged" her to go down for a little walk and get some fresh air, and get herself her usual fix of coffee. I gave her $5.00 for my drink just before she went down, even though she had earlier insisted that she buy that for me.
And guess what?? This "naughty" gal, wrote me a cute little note. She cut and paste (with glue) the envelope, folded the nicely and neatly writtened note and of course, my $5.00 inside. She returned me my 5 bucks and I'm sure she was smiling to herself when she imagined the look on my face when I read it on Friday morning.
Last but not least, Sheena only found out my age this morning when I "introduced" both cousins on MSN. Hah! And I've heard of nothing, but compliments from Sheena to Glendan...
So, Thank you, Sheena!!

Time for Laughters and Smiles

Here are some pictures I took of my Glendan and Guinness. Glendan was busy playing around with Guinness while I snapped those pictures..
Guinness is playful, greedy, yet, she's lovable.
And after our night out, we headed back to my place. I knew that my Baby would be wondering, what smell is that??? Oh Boy!! Did Glendan and I have a laughing fit at 2+ in the morning!
When Glendan and I came home, Baby was barking from the kitchen. And after Baby came into the living room, she started sniffing at the hems of Glendan's jeans, I was already laughing and saying at the same time that Baby has already detected a very different smell. It's the Guinness Smell.............. :)
We went back into my room and eh, undressed. And to prove that Baby has an acute sense of smell (since she's blind in both eyes), Glendan and I placed our jeans on the floor. Baby immediately went over to our jeans and sniffed sniffed and sniffed. After quite a while, Baby sneezed!! Hahaha.. That got us both laughing our insides out!! Glendan saw how Baby looked when she sneezed and she laughed the loudest - and at the same time, trying not to wake my mum or the neighbours up.Glendan took pictures of Baby at work, and named it: "CSI at work".... Hahaahaaaa.. It's really really funny, I tell you.
Baby is soooo adorable.... She must've been wondering, who have you two been out with??? Another bitch?? Well, yes, we're both guilty, as charged.................. Oops!!

Hmmm... Yummy..

Glendan, Mammie Grace and Me had home-made Shabu Shabu for dinner on Friday over at Chang's place. It was one of those much awaited and much talked about topic between Glendan, Chang and me for quite a while. And after many unsuccessful attempts at trying to organise it, I finally tasted this wonderful meal.
As you can see from my pictures, there were just beef (1 tray) and pork (2 trays), veggies, eggs, mushrooms, golden mushrooms, japanese toufu and japanese tang hoon, chinchalok and local soya sauce (for me). I'm more of a salty tastebud person, so I had to have that bottle of soya sauce next to me. Hehee..
The soup is actually very nice - Sweet.. But I didn't take much of it, for I'd prefer my foodstuffs to be salty.
Glendan taught Grace and me to dip our meat and everything there is on the table with raw egg. It really tasted different and its very nice. Though I don't take chinchalok, I tried the taste this time round coz Chang said that it's spicy and very shiok. So, yeah, I of course tasted it and agreed on the spiciness.
After dinner, we all shared a bottle of Ice Wine, cakes and tarts from Han's for desert, with compliments from the host, Chang.
Oh Oh!! Not forgetting about Guinness, the beloved poochie moochie of Chang. Guinness was very active and jumpy. She also has this fettish for jeans, or mainly, blue jeans. Needless to say, Guinness was all over me... Haha.. She was busy chewing, biting and nuzzling herself at the hems of my blue jeans. Glendan didn't get away with it too, for she was in black jeans. And, of course, not forgetting Grace - Grace likes dogs, but not huge ones. She was a little apprehensive in wanting to play and having Guinness play with her, what less trying her veyr best at tugging at Grace's pants. Pants, you know. The material's much thinner. Haha.. If Grace could jump up to the table and not be called insane, I'm sure she would.
The evening ended on such a lovely note that Glendan, Chang and me headed off to our usual cave.... (Hmmm.. Something mean happened while we were there. I'll update you on it later.. So, hang on tight!!)
My last words for Chang in this entry - Thank you for the invitation. I really appreciate it and I'm sure Glendan, Grace and I would love to have this again. And may I have the pleasure of asking Trac and Pogo to join us for the upcoming Shabu Shabu dinner next month?? (You've got me hooked.......... :D)
Please... Please.. Please... :P

Missing for a While...

Open Letter
Dear Friends and Foes,
Please do take note that I would be missing in action ("MIA") for slightly more than a month starting from next Monday.
This is due to a overload at work. My boss would be engaged in a trial for a month starting 30 October 2006 till 1 December 2006.
I would be expected to stay on in the office till my boss and another partner comes back from Court each and every day to see if there is any further work to be done.
I would be expected to prepare bundles and bundles of documents in preparation for the trial next week and I have an assistant who would be coming in to help me out with it for 4 days. I suppose she is a sweet young thing (as described by my partner - she is my partner's younger cousin. all of an young tender age of 22). I would actually have given the position to my brother's girlfriend, but she wouldn't be able to come in for 2 days. I can't afford that. My brother would love to come in to help me out - earn some pocket money. (eh, did I mention that it's S$100.00 per day, from 9:00am - 6:00pm....) But I didn't want to be in a position whereby he would slack and I would be scolding him. It's actually good for him to have a taste in what's it like, being at work, and of course, to see me - hard at work. Sigh... Oh well, I guess my decision is correct in not wanting to take him in.
In any case, my partner's younger cousin's name is Sheena. From what my partner has told me, Sheena is a pampered girl. And the culprit is none other than Sheena's dad. He spoils her. Blah Blah Blah... Yet, my partner said that Sheena acts and talks quite sensibly when she's out of her comfort zone. I do not want to scold Sheena. And it's a no brainer job. But, I do need her to be quick and fast, with minimal supervision. I also need her to work smart. I hope Sheena would be good and live up to my expectations. Hopefully, I won't be hash nor difficult.
Whatever it is, Sheena, please accept my apologies if I happen to squeal at you, throw my temper at you or give you "the look". Haha... But overall, I'm a very nice human. Very humane and very cheery.... Hope I didn't scare you away.
Yours sincerely,
Princess Priscus

My New Toy...

I just bought this new toy last night & her name is Sony Ericsson K800i, in Allure Brown. Her new shell color is just out in the shops of SingTel (for signing lines only) for about a month only. Nope, my line is not with SingTel, but with M1 (where the sun always shine....... Just Like ME!! Kekekek..

Anyways, she blends in well with the color scheme of my bedroom. And as you can see from the picture above, she also goes well with my quilt cover sheets. Hmmmmm... Yummy, right??!!

I've neglected my partner (for obvious reasons). I've been BUSY. Busy playing around with my new mobile phone. I could skip meals and my favourite television serials (ie. CSI and Criminal Minds) last night, just to be familiar with my mobile.

Okie, I've blabbered enough on my phone.

Soooooo, head on down to your favourite stores and grab your own Sony Ericsson K800i, in Allure Brown, NOW..............!!

The Eastside...

I’ve finally moved into my new home in Bedok. It’s a small little place fit only for mummy (empress dowager), Baby (precious), Glenda (round round) and myself.

It was kinda exciting moving in - packing, deliberating, arguing, thinking, worrying, sighing, clearing, taping, cutting, slicing, measuring, and now, unpacking, still cleaning, still thinking, still worrying, still sighing, still cutting, still slicing, still measuring. Hahaaaaa

There are touch ups to be done in the 2 bathrooms, the ceilings of all rooms, the re-painting of the living room walls (coz, there’s too much of a lavender scheme in the house… Yucks!!), touching up of paint at the trunkings, painting of the doors, fixing up the ‘do not blend in with my concept’ computer table, fixing up the ‘century old desktop computer’, and the list of little here’s and there’s go on & on & on.

Of course, bulk of the stuff have been done. Most of the carton boxes have been unpacked.

I can sleep peacefully at night, but my partner can’t (her shoulders and neck are achingly painful..), so she has to toss and turn, while listening to my snores (hahaaha!!).

My room TV is BIG. It’s a Flat Screen 26” loh.
Oh yah!! I would need to scout for a corner TV console for my room, in dark wood. It’s sooo difficult to find one. L
So, I’m currently using a solid wood (medium color wood) coffee table from dunno which era for the time being.

My coffee table hasn’t been fixed up, coz there’s a problem with 1 of my living room light. The glass cover keep cracking. My electrician has to go and change it twice. And for this final time round, if it cracks again, I’ll be changing to a different design.

I need to get a off the shelve cabinet to place in my kitchen, near the windows, to place detergents, washing powder, clips, my Baby’s stuff, etc. Currently using a 2-tier ‘un-glam’ table.

See, sounds easy, but there are still many things to do & buy.

Slowly and steadily does it, that’s what I’ve been told by friends and by my partner. But I don’t want to hang around and have these things done too slowly. I’ve got my deadline, you know. Everything nook and corner has to be done and seen as good to show and view, before allowing guests, like your goodselves, to enter my humble abode.

Oh, you all have better start saving your monies now, for my house warming party would be held sometime in December 2006…!! Hahaa
